FAQ — Concho Customs

Question 1

How do I place a custom order?

Accepted Answer

Fill out the Custom Order form with your idea — product type, size, material, and any engraving text. I'll review it and get back to you within 24 hours with a digital proof and a quote before anything gets made.

Question 2

Do I get to see a proof before it's engraved?

Accepted Answer

Yes, always. I send a digital proof of the design before anything goes to the laser. You can request changes, adjust the layout, or start over — no charge for revisions at the proof stage.

Question 3

Can I send my own design or logo?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You can attach a reference image, logo, or photo in the order form. Vector files (SVG, AI, PDF) work best, but high-resolution JPGs and PNGs work too. I'll clean it up and optimize it for engraving.

Question 4

What if I'm not sure what I want?

Accepted Answer

That's fine — most orders start that way. Just describe the general idea in the message field and I'll help you figure out the rest. A rough concept is enough to get started.

Question 5

How long does it take to make my piece?

Accepted Answer

Most orders ship within 3–7 business days after proof approval. Complex pieces with detailed artwork or large formats may take a bit longer — I'll let you know upfront if that's the case.

Question 6

Do you offer rush orders?

Accepted Answer

Sometimes, depending on the current workload. Mention your deadline in the order form and I'll let you know if it's doable. Rush orders may carry a small additional fee.

Question 7

Where do you ship?

Accepted Answer

Anywhere in the United States. Pieces are packaged carefully to survive shipping — signs are wrapped and boxed, dog tags are bagged and padded.

Question 8

How much does shipping cost?

Accepted Answer

Shipping cost depends on the size and weight of your order. I'll include the shipping estimate in your quote before you commit to anything.

Question 9

What materials can you engrave on?

Accepted Answer

Wood (pine, live-edge slabs, hardwood), anodized metal (dog tags, plaques), acrylic, and leather. If you have something specific in mind, ask — if it can be engraved, we'll figure it out.

Question 10

What sizes are available for signs?

Accepted Answer

Signs range from small desk pieces (under 6") up to large live-edge slabs (24"+). Size affects price, so mention what you have in mind and I'll give you options.

Question 11

Are the dog tags durable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The tags are made from anodized aluminum — lightweight, rust-resistant, and the engraving is permanent. They're built to handle outdoor life, water, and daily wear.

Question 12

Can I order multiple pieces at once?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and bulk orders often qualify for a discount. If you're ordering 5 or more of the same item (like dog tags for a litter or signs for an event), mention it in the order form.

Question 13

How much does a custom piece cost?

Accepted Answer

Pricing depends on size, material, and complexity. Dog tags typically start around $15–$25. Signs vary widely based on size and detail. I'll give you a firm quote after reviewing your order — no surprises.

Question 14

When do I pay?

Accepted Answer

Payment is collected after you approve the proof and before production begins. I'll send a payment link with your quote.

Question 15

What's your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Because every piece is made to order, I don't accept returns on custom items. However, if something arrives damaged or doesn't match the approved proof, I'll remake it at no charge.
